Webb, Murray & Associates was incorporated in the state of Texas in July 1975. It was founded by two chemical engineers who had been working for DuPont since graduating from college. From its inception until 1980, the company's fire protection and safety work was predominantly with the chemicals, petro-chemicals, and refining industries located along the upper Texas Gulf Coast.
